BLIND PIECE PROJECT

a performance by Sayaka Akitsu

“Blind piece” is a performance project. The piece alternates performance scenes and blind scenes in which the audience is asked to close their eyes.

Originally this work was produced and presented in the framework of Odorini-ikuze2 B program produced by JCDN at Dance Box in 2015. Since 2017, the project focuses on physical contacts and further communications between performers and the public in order to invite the audience to an immersive experience. The project has been developed with the support of Kyoto cultural challenge funds, Kyoto art center and FORUM KYOTO.
